Hi; I asked a question for a problem of mine. I attached the link. The devices that will be connected to plc; now communicating with the current device(pk) over a specific protocol.(FT 1.2 - UART 19244 ??) We are listening the line between slaves and current device to solve the communication. The point is, at CM modules or CP modules can i a send a byte without any addition (start or stop bitsthat are automatically addedby theCM or CPmodule). /tf/WW/en/Posts/85026#top |

Hello zapotek; I am not very familiar with the CM 1241, but I can tell you that the parameter assignment for the various native drivers on the CP 341 will add control bits (start, stop, parity)to the transmitted characters. As an example, look at the attached document, extracted from this manual; SIMATIC S7-300 CP 341 Point-to-Point Communication, Installation and Parameter Assignment Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello Zapotek, the protocol you are looking for changed its name during the last years. It started with DIN 19244, then changed to IEC TC57 and now it is called IEC 60870-5-101. For S7-300/400 a library for IEC 870-5-101 is available. Probably these guys developed one for S7-1200 as well. Just ask them and it would be nice if you keep us informed. Siemens AG I IA SE S5 - SIPLUS RIC Würzburger Str.121 D-90766 Fürth Tel.: +49 911 750-4790 Fax: +49 911 750-9917 E-Mail: siplus-ric.automation@siemens.com Internet: http://www.siemens.com/siplus-ric It is not possible to send a character without start/stop bit. To send a character without paritiy bit you must choose "no parity". Regards, Kaulquappe |
