USB PC adapter - step7 V5.5

30A Experienced Member Joined: 4/25/2009 Last visit: 3/14/2023 Posts: 20 Rating: (2)	Hi I didn't know in step7 V5.5 I don't need to install USB PC adaptor's driver. so I installed it and this is the result: In PG/PC Interface>Selecet> I can not add ot remove Interfaces In PG/PC Interface> there is this weird ".1" at the end of interfaces In PG/PC Interface>Prop. There is no "Local Connection" menue. did I damage my instalation??? I'm using Windows7 64 bit ! Attachment PgPcInt.zip (1260 Downloads)

After and during the new start of Windows 7 the driver of the PC adapter will be new installed and then it should be possible to use it. Bobco Regular Member Joined: 12/2/2009 Last visit: 3/22/2023 Posts: 35 Rating: (0)	The link you posted is not actual! The driver of PC Adapter USB is installed with Step 7 v5.5 SP3. I'm using Windows 7 x64 too and I have the same problem. Solutions?

miii Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Same problem. PC adapter USB A2 6GK1 571-0BA00-0AA0 Windows 7 Pro 64bit SP1 I tried installing, uninstalling step7/driver several times. I always get grey buttons in PG/PC config in MPI adapter. No connection possible in MPI or Auto modes. In the manual it says: Set PG/PC Interface 1. In the "Set PG/PC Interface" dialog box, select the interface parameter assignment via which you want to communicate: - PC Adapter USB A2 (Auto) There is no USB A2 listed in my PG/PC config, only PC Adapter - PC Adapter USB A2 (MPI) There is no USB A2 listed in my PG/PC config, only PC Adapter - PC Adapter USB A2 (PROFIBUS) There is no USB A2 listed in my PG/PC config, only PC Adapter 2. In the corresponding "Properties" dialog box, check whether or not the parameter settings match your system configuration and if necessary modify them. 3. Complete your settings with the OK button. Now I deleted the driver in hardware config and I cannot reinstall it. Installation from CD runs, but no driver after restart. USB5V LED is blinking. Before it was ON always when Windows started, but it wasn't working at all in PG/PC config. Find a quick solution please, now it is useless like a brick.

JB2020 Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	has anyone found a solution to this? my step75.5 no longer works with pc adaptor. like original poster, all the pc adaptor options have a .1 after them now. I think this may have occurred after I tried to get usb-prommer working and installed s/w for it.

JB2020 Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Found the problem. The Siemens USB driver had been reset to V1.0. Solved by deleting the driver (from windows device manager) then plug the mpi cable back in and windows automatically installed a new driver which was V9.0 and then all was OK.
