USB PC adapter - Windows 7

sakal123 Posts: 29 Rating: (0)	Hello! I have a problem connecting my HP laptop with installed STEP7 v5.5 under windows 7 to any CPU. I went through the instruction as said here: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&objId=44914248&nodeid0=14690331&load=content&lang=en&siteid=cseus&aktprim=0&objaction=csview&extranet=standard&viewreg=WW So as it says for win7 and step7 v5.5 I did not install anything and it should work. The adapter itself works fine - when I connect it to the CPU and with USB to my laptop I get all three leds lit (MPI, power and USB all green), but I can not get to CPU. In PG-PC interface I selected S7USB, but this option does not have any parameters to change - "Properties" is unavailable, so I am a bit sceptical that it is installed correctly... I have SIMATIC Device Driver version 8.1 and not 8.1.5 as it is said in the upper link. But maybe this driver still is OK since I have the correct version of STEP7. Do I have to somehow trasfer it? Thank you in advance! Igor
