USB tethering

The smartphone also charges, but I have no options to enable USB tethering. I also have an IOT2040 which had no problems with this. I have tried both USB ports, but the smartphone does not appear among the USB devices. Greetings Marc Attachment lsusb.JPG (289 Downloads)

M4RC Advanced Member Joined: 1/27/2020 Last visit: 9/27/2021 Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	I plugged my smartphone (Xiaomi Redmi) into the USB port and enabled "USB tethering" in the Portable Hotspot setting. I can add a attachment of the ifconfig of my IOT2040, if you want. On the screenshot, the smartphone is connected to the IOT2050 and you can see that the USB port is not recognized. When I check journalctl there is an error message systemd-udevd[576]: 1-1.1: Failed to apply ACL: Operation not supported when plugging in the phone. I am not sure, but maybe we are missing some drivers here. I will check that. Best regards!

From all the input I have from others is that the phone is being recognized. Do you have the chance to test with another phone? Best regards!
