I want to use CP1623 as my plant bus and terminal bus.

What setting we need to make in system. currently I have 2 CP1623 installed in ES but I can not download my OS project from CP card (set as terminal bus in simatic shell.

Please help.

terminal bus communication is handled by windows network mechanism. Windows does not know that the CP1623 is a network card. For this you can install (or already have automatically installed with SIMATIC NET software) the so called NDIS driver for the CP1623.

This makes Windows know the CP1623 to be a network card.

Then you find the CP1623 miniport adapter in your standard Windows network environment. There you can assign an IP address fitting you terminal bus subnet.

Be aware that your CP1623 then has two possible IP addresses. One set in Windows network environment and one set in Simatic Communication settings. The second is only used for S7-communication. Both of these should be in different IP subnets.

I have configured NDIS Ip address in configuration of PC Station (where we cibfigure the WinCC appl with 2CP card for redundant connection). I can now able to configure the OS Station. But unable to download S7 connection. I can download complete project.

I have configured both CP cards for Fault tolerant connection with H-CPU using Redconnect license.

But with S7online- PC Internal setting I can not download/monitor the H CPU. For that I need to change S7online connection to the second CP card.

What may be the reason?

to use CP1623 for terminal bus is a waste, but if you have two
CP1623, one for plantbus (PLC), and one for terminalbus it should work.

As Myst already sayed: Your CP 1623 has two IP addresses: And the NDIS IP address (Configured in Windows) should be different to the IP address you configure in the HW Konfig.
