hello,

i want to ask that when i click the add block in tia portal V12 then 4 blocks comes out. but i dont know the use of it. for what purpose they are being used??

i see in the data block that we define some thing as we define in PLC tags,

what is the difference between it.??

secondly , if i write the code in STL then is it possible to see in BLOCK .

for example i write code for AND operation of two input then i can see it in the form of block??

1. Organization Blocks are the interface of OS of CPU with the user program,They are important for us as we are able to have a cyclic execution of our program with them and receive some error reports from them.
   
   
2. Functions are instruction that can be re-usable or just developed once for better clarity of user programs.You can use different languages to develop your automation task.They don't have memory internally to keep track of variables.
   
   
3. Function Blocks are also like functions,They can be re-usable with internal memories.
   
   
4. Data blocks are also places that keeps data as data bank and assists categorized data management.
