user archive could'nt save the data

I sucessfully can run my scripts on my personal laptop. configuration of HP nx5000,Processor intel centrino with wincc v6.0+sp3+user archive license.But as i install my programm on Dell latitude T620 procesor: Intel core 2 Duo laptop. I couldntsave my user archive data. I tried it with installation.but no results. please suggest me on this matter.

Doyou have hotfix 2 for SP3 installed ? (Europe: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/21480479 Asia : http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/22128061) What "data" are you saving - configuration or runtime data ? Where are you trying to do this ? In the User Archive Editor, on the User Archive Control or somewhere else Finally, what error are you getting ? Salma

The user archive editor saves the data enters by user in one archiveandcompared byprevious data stored by user,if data mathes the same,then storesby the other user id. info4.user archive editor. Info5.my data couldnt saved. in addition to this i have tried withgolbal script diagnosis also, but no errors. But the particularproblem works in anotherHP make notebook. I have check with installations also. pranay

A script runs in runtime and the UA editor is a configuration tool - the two are completely different !! Anyway, if it works on one computer and not another it implies an installation issue. Are you seeing an actual error message anywhere ? The "data not being saved" is a symptom and an error message will help diagnose it. Can you post your Diagnose directory here ? (C:\Program Files\Siemens\WinCC\Diagnose) Also, have you read this thread ? Salma

Salma Gold Member Joined: 9/27/2005 Last visit: 11/27/2007 Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	The logs show that a script is repeatedly failing on both machines. You need to find this fault and fix it. Please can you explain again, in more detail exactly how you are saving the data. Are you using a script OR are you using the User Archive Editor ?? If you are usinga script it is possible that the script is failing hence the error message in the log file. If anyone has anything to add, feel free to chip in !

Vkart Posts: 25 Rating: (3)	Dear Robo.. If your problem is just the "Changes not able to save in the User Archive Editor", Then the following FAQ Will help you. I had a similar problem where the user archive data could not be saved(The save symbol disappears and the Title Bar has a weird -R- Symbol) and the problem was rectified by deleting a Temp file which is explained in the entry below. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/492977
