Have you tried deleting the table and recreating it with a new name ? Also, is there anything else accessing the table ? VBS scripts, SQL Server triggers, stored procedures, MSAccess link, etc. You could also try running the SQL Server Profiler (Start -> Programs -> Microsoft SQL Server -> Profiler). This lets you monitor all database activity and might show you where the extra records are coming from.

michaelf Posts: 29 Rating: (1)	yes, I did that already, same result... Normally I use only the table in the project function and I access the table with Excel to transport the dato to excel... i will examine the sql profiler to see what happens...

SQL is a standard and not a product so you cannot install it !! You need to install WinCC on the clients and WinCC needs SQLServer installed. This is fine. Is this what you meant?

However ... you mention you have a client / server setup. Could it be that the clients are doing the extra inserts ? This would explain the time difference, lack of printf statements and if one client is stopped that could be why only two inserts are occurring now. To check this theory, can you tell me where you have created the Action. Is it a Global Action or is it just assigned to the server ?

This functionality allows you to create scripts that only run on the server. Or you can customise each clientto behave differently even though all computers are running the same project [;)] Salma
