User Archive/view Column width while printing

AMJ Posts: 87 Rating: (1)	Hello Experts, I am configuring report layout in WinCC V6.0 SP4. In side the report layout I am using user archive view. The solution I am seeking for described below. The user archive view which I have created has many many column. But when I add inside the report layout I can not adjust the width of every column. So when I take the hard copy of that report I can see all the column of view but with very small width and as a result I can not see the value of every column. Please tell me in report layout how can set the width of archive view columns. Is there any way to split this column in more than one page. That is also tolerable in my case. With best regards, Ankur

AMJ Posts: 87 Rating: (1)	Dear Nemo, I have already gone through that FAQ earlier. But when I open the garaphic designer and select the User archive with OLE control. I can not switch that control into Form as that form button is disable in that control. So I can not edit the form. Please explain me how to switch to form view while you are in graphic editor and dealing with User archive table control. I have also read the User archive manual but I can not understand how to edit the form view of user archive cotntrol. Please guide me. Ankur

Salma Gold Member Joined: 9/27/2005 Last visit: 11/27/2007 Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	- Double-click on the User Archive Control - On the first tab check the "Form" check-box - Click ok to close the properties dialog window - Now hold down the CTRL key and double-click on the User Archive Control again - This puts the control into runtime mode so now click on the Form toolbar button to get into the Form view. AMJ Posts: 87 Rating: (1)	Dear Experts, I did the column adjustmentby calling my archive in graphic designer.But when I print them all columns are taken inside one page and as a result I can not see thevalues of every column. SoI need more help on 1) My archive has more 35 column and three of them includes string of more than 20 char lenght. So how can I include all the column while printing them? 2)Which printjob I need to select for this? 3)Is there any thing I need to create inside the Report layout? 4) How can I split these column while printing into more pages than one.

All I could think of doing is have 3 or 4 different PDLs each showing the same User Archive Control but displaying different columns. You then use the FAQ information to print out these PDLs using the HardCopy object. I don't believe there is an elegant way to do this using the Report Designer. If it was me I would export the data to CSV or query the Runtime database directly using SQL. I would then use something like Crystal Reports or Excel to build and print my report. Maybe someone else has another solution ?? Salma

[:P] But Crystal and Excel allow you to design your own layout, with huge flexibility. [;)]Excelfiles, for instance,can not only be printed, but also easily edited, in case there's need to spread this data on customers which don't have any IT solutions. Best regards, Danielle
