KRK_1986 Posts: 62 Rating: (0)	Dear Frnds, I want to control a room temperature using PID block. so i want a create my own temp. control block, because there r more than 100 rooms r there,so different setpoint and process valuse comes into picture. i think u may understand!!! now the task for me is, i want write program in CFC ,Since i am nt done single project using that CFC. so experts plz guide me,how to acheive this in cfc? in cfc how can i able to create user defined block? plz guide. Thanks KRK

Use the standard library blocks and create a CFC with a measured value, a PID controller and an output to drive your actuator, then make as many copies of the CFC as you need or use the IEA to generate instances of your type. As the previous poster already indicted start with the "getting started" manual for CFC (or PCS7). Good luck, David

No I'm telling you to uses 100 PID controllers in 100 CFC charts, each with it's own input (PV) and output (MV) driver block. You basically make 1 CFC with a controller and IO first, test this and if you are happy with the way it works you create 99 copies of that CFC and change the adresses on the input and output driver blocks to the correct IO for each measurement and each actuator. KRK_1986 Posts: 62 Rating: (0)	HI i created my first cfc program, i got 8 errors. i created a chart for analog scaling(practice purpose) with I/O's....i saved this chart as fb 100. now i created another chart , and i called fb100 in this chart.and i connected inputs to DB100(from scada) i have attached my program, i dnt knw wht i did is correct or wrong...so experts plz suggest .and help me wht mistake i done Thanks KRK Attachment CFC-TRAI.zip (106 Downloads)

In your CFC-program you use DB numbers from outside of user range, i.e. you use DB64 and DB100, when the default setting in CFC is DB numbers from 1 to 60. You need to expand this range via the CFC-menu 'Options-Customize-Compile/Download...', you must set at least 1...100 for DB numbers. Look at screenshot. Attachment screen.jpg (158 Downloads)
