Using a usb disk for storage device ??

Hello.

This is not working. I have portable USB disk, and want it to be a storage device for a TP1200 Comfort panel ?

I have converted the disk to FAT 32, and shrinked its size to 3gig. But still the panel can not read it ?

I have tried with a common usb momeory with 2GB and it works fine.

External hard disks are (til now) not listed in the external storage media suitable for use with SIMATIC Panels.

Which external storage media can you use with the current SIMATIC panels and which memory card interfaces do they have?

Moreover, you can always check if the inserted storage media is ready for writing using a scipt. Justcheck this link:

TP1200 uses Windows CE V6.0 as an operating system.

I have a 900GB hard drive with usb3.0

I have created a new FAT partition on this only 4GB but still the panel can not read from it ?

Maybe the panel can't work with this type of harddisks.

 May be. But why don't you use a USB stick instead of using extrernal HDD. specially USB sticks are cheaper than HDDs.
