First of all, thanks a lot for your help. Once we have confirmed (99%) that the configuration we have done seems to be ok, now I have several questions:

1.- why do you say “create a connection with connection resource 03 to get remote TSAP 03.03”? According to the configuration windows for the link (image in the 4rd page of my pdf), the local TSAP for the PC_Station would have to be 10.12, isn’t it? Please explain your comment to me, thanks.

(I think the link is properly done because I can access via OPC Scout succesfully)

2.- I will explain exactly what is happening: (1) I download the configuration into the PC_Station (2) If I use the C# function S7_get_device() it gives to me the list of Point Access (3) If I use the C# function S7_get_vdf() I can’t get any vdf in any position of any device and (4) If I use the C# function S7_init() with the parameters of device and vdf that I have download, it returns an invalid CP_descriptor. So now I don’t know if the problem is at C-library side, or at PC_Station configuration side. In order to discern where’s the problem, I would like to check that the VDF are properly assigned to the acces point. My question is: how can I check the VDF’s of an Access Point from the PC-Station? Is there another way different of the C# library?

3.- Since the configuration seems to be correctly done, I begin to suspect that the problem stems from the combination of Windows 7, Softnet 8.1 and the very old SAPI_S7 C-library. Please, can you confirm to me that Windows 7, Softnet 8.1 and SAPI_S7 C-library are all compatible together?

About issue 3, the version of the SAPI_S7 is version: @(#1)SAPI_S7.H V 1.00 , and I can tell you that it was used in 1998. We are using the same program and dll file that was used then. Please, for me it is very important to be sure that SAPI_S7 is compatible with the rest of software.

About issue 2, I’ll do the changes you are proposing and check de result, and I will let you know. The result of S7_get_device() now is all right, because it gives us the name of all Acess Point we have defined in PG/PC Interface (CP_H1_1:, PLC1, etc, etc). According of the index number you set in the call, you get one or another answer. But they are correct.
