Tell me does the colors changes on the same screen of ( KP300) without touching buttons on the display?

In other words are the color alarms fully controlled by the PLC ? If thats the case I need guidence how to do it please.

I got v16 software and use 1212C CPU in having a look your pics looks different in terms

of software. I bought the Siemens software last year.

The version I worked with is V15.1. There is not much difference between V15.1 / V16 / V17. What is true is that I have reworked the screenshots to remove some information about the project where the pictures are generated from.

Perhaps it is best if you would make a screenshot and show what you find as different which hinders your progress. (recommended for making screenshots: ShareX )

Okay.. your picture does mean something to me.

The first picture is for your case a hint (sorry for the confusion caused ). The tag that comes from the PLC writes its value to an HMI function that in turn change the background colour. The numbers that represents the colour selection is shown in the first picture.

The fact that I have used a UDT (user defined type) is not of any real importance. Only the meaning of the numbers are of importance to you. Knowledge of a UDT is not going to solve your original question.. but feel welcome to start a new question in Step7 (TIA Portal) conference if you wish to know more.

It is quite simple . I want the alarms picked up the alarms from the PLC and activate the colors in HMI.

Nothing else to activate the colors.

Current system one must BE page to a new screen for the color to change that was send by the PLC.

Im sure thats what the guys were talking about.
