Using cyclic interrupt OBs in program

Flomaster Posts: 65 Rating: (2)	Hi all! I have a problem in my new project. I use S7-1214c PLC, and I need to use PID_Compact technological object synchronous with MB_SLAVE library. This PLC is slave device in Modbus network. In the beginning, my project contained only MB_SLAVE block in cyclic interrupt OB an everything worked good. Then I have added PID_Compact block in this cyclic interrupt OB and I got a problem. My S7-1214c PLC is not responding to master device. Only Rx indicator is blinking at CM 1241 communication module. And PID_Compact output value is 0. If I use only PID_Compact block in cyclic interrupt OB (MB_SLAVE block is deleted), everything works good too (PID_Compact output value changing subject to input value and setpoint). I tried to use PID_Compact and MB_SLAVE in two various cyclic interrupt OBs, but I have the same problem. What can be the reason of this problem?

PID_Compact is working always now, I found a little error in project. But I still can't read or write data by master device (PLC is slave), when I use PID_Compact in my project. Maybe there as conflict. I suggest to remove this call for a test. 2 - OB202: I suggest don't call conditionaly the PID. Call it every cycle. If you want to "deactivate" use manual operation on it.

Flomaster Posts: 65 Rating: (2)	HI! I understand you idea. But this "conditions" on the EN input of the PID-block are defines value which will be used on Input. It can be Pi(pressure on input), Po (pressure on output), or Pd (difference between Po and Pi). Also I have a project for S7-1200 where this variant of using PID_Compact works without any problems. But here I a problem with MB_SLAVE. Now Tx and Rx LED are blikning, but it occur not simultaneous.I think, the MB_SALVE not respond to master in time

If you have an ability, can you create a working example of using MB_SLAVE and PID_Compact in one project? This problem didn't allow me to complete my project in time. One Idea is to monitor the Status not with the condition status <> 0 but else with error = true. I don't have hw to mount examples at this moment... However I have a sample that has alread worked and uses Modbus. The coments are in portuguese, however the main topics are language independents. Attachment Chapa1.zip (934 Downloads)
