Using Dell D520 Latitude as PG

SAL_KAN Regular Member Joined: 8/5/2008 Last visit: 9/14/2023 Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Dear All, I have SIMATIC PG (6ES7 710-0CA10-0BA0) and I'm able to work with it,but now my friend gave me PC Adapter (6ES7-972-0CA23-0XA0) and I'm able to conecti it to my PLC. I have receantly download and upload programs with no problems. My question is: '' In wich cases I could use this PC adapter and is it the same as my PG Field'' My laptop is Dell Latitude D520 and I'm willing to conect to some HMI devices.I know for downloading configurations I need to have ProTool or WinCC flexible but I'm just interested can I do it with my laptop usig this adapter or do I need something else .....
