I hope someone can HELP me with usage of DP/DP couplers.I have one Master on the left marked as Master1 (profibus network 1) and I have five masters on the right, marked as Master2, Master3.....Master6. (profibus network 2) and betwen them a DP/DP coupler.I wont to send data from Master2 to Master1, Master3 to Master1, Master4 to Master1.....Master6 to Master1. I wonder is this posible if I use only one DP/DP coupler or I must use coupler for evry pair of Masters (that means 5 couplers)...... All Masters are CPU 315-2DP


I assume that the anwser is probably 5, but I wont to hear it from experts ..[:D]

Like U probably noticed this topic Is very like my previus topic, but I'm a new at profibus and I look for best solution toput data from 5 or 6 masters to one master or slave on profibus without usage of additional CPs and couplers...So I ask all theese stupid questions......., anysugestion is more then wellcome[:D]

P.S.: Wouldn't it be possible to communicate over MPI in between all the CPUs with X_PUT or X_GET Functions again? This would be much cheaper than 5 DP/DP Couplers.
