NO as per my best of my knowledge. Basically slip-ring motors are selected because of their ability to provide high starting torque & that’s why external resistances are used. Moreover slip ring induction motors are with different CDF & duty cycle. Technically you should have the data like acceleration time, PUT torque, maximum torque, maximum power, base speed etc of load requirement. From this you can select the motor & once the complete load cycle of motor is finalized then you can select the drive. Please also note that while selecting motor with drive, you must select motor of inverter duty specially designed for EOT crane application.
