Using OPC server from VB.Net application

kapilkk Posts: 17 Rating: (1)	Hi, I have a VB.net application which uses Simatic OPC activeX to communicate with CP315-2-PN/DP PLC. When I am running the exe file it works fine. Now if I have a windows service to start this exe file I get error - Unable to conect to Server "OPC.SimaticNET".Why thismight be happening? Thanks, Kapil.

sampillu Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I will suggest that you write exe code in Windows service apllication. I have done the same, devloped windows service which will connect to opc server and fetch the data from it. i have started service automatically and given delay of say 1 min to connect to opc.
