I hope that you are all having a great day.

Forgive me for the newbie question or if this question has already been answered before as I'm new to TIA Portal and SCADA design.

I want to build a faceplate for every analogue sensor where it can show details about the sensor in addition to some control on it (engineering max and low values... etc.).

The face plate has multiple tabs, one for control, one for trend view and another for alarms.

When I enter ".Actual_Value" for example in the Trendview properties>Trends, the field turn into red and I cant seem to make it work.

Am I heading the the right direction? or are there any other methods to achieve my goal?

Sorry for the late response, I didn't get any notification on my email and I got carried away by other tasks.

In picture 1, I added the tag prefix to the called page (which works fine with elements other than trendview), and in picture 2, entering the suffix of the tag gives me a red entry field.

I'm doing something wrong here? or is this a limitation WinCC Prof?

As you can see in picture 2, I have a tab designated for every analogue sensor called "Trend" where the operator can view the trend of a particular sensor by opening its faceplate.

I'm also planning to do an alarm tab, but I'm yet to reach this stage.
