Using WinCC RT Advanced V11 on a system with TIA V13 installed fails

HansAST Experienced Member Joined: 5/24/2009 Last visit: 12/2/2023 Posts: 90 Rating: (3)	I have a project in TIA Portal V13 with a WinCC RT Advanced V11 HMI that compiles and deploys succesfully on the target PC. (The target PC has a valid installation of Win CC Advanced RT V11) However executing the HMI on the same PC as the TIA Portal V13 fails. The PG also has TIAportal V11 and V12 installed. As well as a valid RT V11. Selecting the RT icon within TIA portal (next to simulation) gives the error that the format of the pdata file is invalid and should be regenerated. I think it assumes that the default runtime is V13. Starting the RT by selecting the pdata file outside of TIA portal generates the same error. Any work around to have it point to the correct HMI runtime??? (Simulation does work...But we cannot have the TIA portal opened to do normal operation) Attachment Capture.jpg (239 Downloads)

K!ke Posts: 1299 Rating: (135)	Hello, see the kompatool: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/64847782 I think it's not allowed to install RT Advanced V11 and RT Advanced V13 on one PC. As you mentioned, with the Engineering System V13 you can only start a Runtime V13 and simulatethe V11. K!ke
