Vippi Experienced Member Joined: 9/24/2008 Last visit: 3/10/2023 Posts: 106 Rating: (4)	Win XP is not the problem: I have the same issue with Win7 Ultimate 32 bit. TIA V11 SP1 worked perfectely, but since I updated to SP2 I can't open project view anymore,it always crashes.

JERA-DK Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	I have also experienced this problem, and it was in connection with a Siemens TIA portal event. We should as part of the event to install SP2 and my PC went total wrong. Blue screen and no way of restarting the PC or get SP2 software uninstalled. Siemens supporters at the event said they had experienced this problem, and it was especially HP PCs that was the problem. I had to make a total installation of XP and all other software before I could use my PC again. Now uses only SP1 and awaiting that Siemens provides a solution to the problem.

Cancelled Windows registry about S7DOS and reinstalled TIA PORTAL. Now it works perfectly. Thanks to guy that has discovered S7DOS problems.

William_B Posts: 5225 Rating: (1165)	I can't be of much help to you. I can however direct you to what I have.. [1] Originally: Windows XP Professional SP3 installed with TIA11 (Basic) with SP1. Updates were sometimes tricky as STEP7 and WINCC packages had to be updated individually. Fully updated up to TIA11 (Basic) SP2 update 5. [2] Windows 7 Professional did not take the original install disk of TIA11 used for the previous computer. I had to get another install version (64-bit). The Anti-virus had to be deactivated and security measures accepted before installation was allowed. TIA11 (Basic) SP2 update 5 still working. [3] Also installed on Windows 7 Professional machine is TIA13 Update 6. I suggest to you to log a formal support to Siemens.. this is mostly users on the forum which may not be able to be helpful. Also consider getting the "demo" version off the internet (Siemens site) and getting that up and running first. Then you can transfer your license onto the machine. w
