Simple Samples” are small projects that demonstrate simple features. The target is give a quick overview about the theme and be used as start point for related discussions. Follow there are a short description and the configuration main steps.

Description:

In this simple sample, controller FB variables are automatically created on HMI tag table and alarms will be created based on these variables.

The variable creation was already detailed on Topic “V14 – Simple Sample: SiVArc – creating Tags on HMI” (https://support.industry.siemens.com/tf/us/en/posts/v14-simple-sample-sivarc-creating-tags-on-hmi/156032/?page=0&pageSize=10). I copied this description here and add the steps related to alarms in “Alarm specific steps” division

Requirements:

TIA V15

SiVArc (SIMATIC Visualization Architect)

Project with a minimum configuration: S7-1500 configuration; HMI (or WinCC Professional)

Configuration main steps:

• Create a FB on S7-1500 CPU: Project tree → PLC → Program Blocks → Add new block → FB: Name = Block_1
• Create a interface (inputs, outputs for the created blocks):
  • Project tree → PLC → Program Blocks → double click on Block_1 → inputs → add new → name = On, type = Bool
  • Project tree → PLC → Program Blocks → double click on Block_1 → outputs → add new → name = Status, type = Uint
• Create a instance DB for Block_1:Project tree → PLC → Program Blocks → Add new block: select Data block, Name = Data_Block_1, Type = Block_1
• Compile (HW and SW with rebuild all)

• Define rules for HMI tag creation: Project tree → Common data → SiVArc → Tag rules → < create new rule>: Tag table = HmiTag.DB.SimbolicName (click on “...”, type “H”, select “HmiTag”, type”.”, select “DB”, type “.”, select “SimbolicName “)

• Create a HMI: Project tree → Add new device → TP900 Comfort: in the HMI Device Wizard, PLC connection create a connection with the S7-1500 controller

Alarm Specific steps:

(STEP 1 the alarm definition should be place on Project Library master copies - to do it an alarm should be created on HMI and copied to library):

• Create a HMI Alarm: HMI Alarms→ Discrete alarm→ <add new> (a Discrete_alarm_1 will be created)
• Set the Trigger bit = 0 (for example)
• Define the SiVArc alarm propreties: Select the created alarm→ Inspection window→ Plug-ins→SiVArc properties :
  • Select the line with Name = Trigger tag and the Colum with Tag expression, click on “…”; Type (or use intelicense): Block.DB.SymbolicAddress & “_Status”
  • Select the line with Name = Alarm Text and the Colum with Expression for the static value, click on “…”; Type (or use intelicense): “Alarm at “ & Block.DB.SymbolicAddress

(STEP 2 copy the alarm definition to the project library)

• Drag on drop the alarm form the Discrete Alarm window to the Project Mater copy
• Delete the original Alarm definidion from the Discret Alarm Window.

(STEP3 Ceate SiVArc rules):

• Project tree → Common data → SiVArc → Alarm rules → < create new rule>: Program block = Block_1; Master copy of alarm/classes/group = Discrete_alarm_1

• Create SiVArc Objects: Project tree → HMI → right mouse click → Generate the visualization (SiVArch) → Generate the visualization with station selection → Tag generation mode = All HMI tags → Generate

Result:

On HMI → HMI tags a “Data_block_1” tag table was created with the related controller instance DB variables (Data_Block_1_on, Data_Block_1_Status)

On HMI → HMI Alarms  → Discrete Alarm a Discrete_alarm_1 will be created with the Text = “Alarm at Block_1_DB” and with trigger tag = “Block_1_DB_Status”

Project:

Due a size/ format restrictions, the projects (one before and one after SiVArc generation) were first archived as zap15 format and after that attached to a zip archive (.zip).

Hi,

With help of colleagues from USA/Germany I found what was going wrong:

The alarm saved in the library had a fix name rule, so SiVArc doesn’t copy it avoiding overwriting. So just the first alarm is created.

Solution: set a changeable name rule for the alarm before copy it to the library (see picture attached)
