I cannot download to a KTP400 Basic PN with TIA V16 due to missing panel image.   #

I've attempted to downloaded the images from the zipped folders mentioned previously including the Basic Gen 2 panel one which I think should contain the image for this HMI.  I copied these I think into the correct folders manually.  This worked for my TP1200 comfort panel and got rid of the same error I was getting with that one.

The tech support told me to download DVD3 which I have and installed using the .exe file. First for just the new HMIs 2.5GB and then when that didn't work selected the full image library including all the legacy HMIs and conversion images required for upgrading etc  (8-9Gb) and this still hasn't put the image file in the right place for the KTP400 basic PN.  

Now checking to see if there are any updates I'm missing.

I have the same problem. Could you already solve it?

I changed to V16 and already downloaded a project to a comfort panel without any problems (didn't download any image, just installed all dvds).

This Time I try to download to a KTP400 and I always get the fault: "Download has failed due to missing panel image. Please install the missing panel images. Refer to documentation.,3/8/2021,10:31:00 AM"

Now I downloaded the KTP400 Images like mentioned above and copied to the path. Didn't work so far....

====> I just realized I really didn't install the DVD in the paper cover, which exactly is the one with the panel images!

If someone out there is still encountering that problem, I wanted to add a thing to this thread:

I had the same issue and tried to work my way through it, with what I read here before. The problem is, I had an HMI programmed in V14, and I myself still use V15.1. My company is not willing to upgrade yet.

However, if you have that problem it depends on the issue, that your version, which ever you use, cannot find an image folder in the version you are using. In the directory (in my case the HMI was V14), there was no "image" folder.

So, it should have been here:

C:\Program Files\Siemens\Automation\Portal V15_1\Data\Hmi\Transfer\14.0\images

What everyone else is trying to say before me is, that if in the version you are using, there is no such image folder, you will have to download that DVD version of the version your or using on the HMI and copy the image folder into that path.

In my case I got that problem solved by upgrading the HMI version to 15.1. Because there was an image folder in V15.1 and then I had no trouble transferring to the HMI.
