Hello I have a similar issue. We use a Moxa Panel PC with an WinCC advance V17 runtime. very regulary the licenses get corrupted when inccorectly shut down. - Licence for logging - Licence for Prodiag - Licence for tags The main problem is that the application is mobile and therefore powered by generator. From time to time it happens that the powersupply just turns off and the HMI turns off without shuting down the runtime first. The moxa panel pc has only 1 storage in form of a 14Gb CF card. Is there a way to adjust how the license is stored on the CF card? Is it possible to store the license on an other device in the network and check the license over the network ? kind of like server for the license. because we have an other pc on the machine that has an integrated UPS. I hope someone has any idea. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hi MaDup, Licenses are always stored in a hidden system folder. You cannot change this setting. The only option you have is to select the drive partition to use. Using licenses from a network device is only possible for floating licenses. However, runtime licenses are always of the "single" type, which cannot be used from a network. Perhaps the FAQ "How can you keep SIMATIC license files working and avoid loss of authorization?" will help you get your licenses working. Kind regards |
