V18 Graphic View Bug makes Unified unusable

Ok

I managed to find a temporary solution.
After placing the graphic on the screen, close the screen editor and reopen it.
You have to do it each time You place anather graphic view on screen.

I hope it will be fixed in next update​

Please make a request for this if you can recreate this fault.

I had the same problem but this happen only a few times to me I just restartet TIA and the bug disappeared.

Recently I discovered very very anoying bug in V18 that makes it unusable with graphics in Unified.

If You put any graphic on screen - build in or own, doesn't matter - You can't "click" it, use it, move etc.

It's hard to explain but for ex. if i'm trying to change size, the "focus" box stays where it is suposed to be, but graphic itself jumps to 0,0 location.

You cant't click it to get into properties, kind of, You have to click somewhere in the screen area, like random place, but not directly on graphic.

It makes Unified panel/RT not usable at all ....

Little tech info:

V18 update 2

Problem on all unified devices - panels and PC RT

I've checked versions 18.0.0.2, 18.0.0.1, 18.0.0.0, 17.0.0.0, also making new projects, rebuilding etc

Type of graphic also doesen't matter - JPG, PNG, SVG, WMF, EMF

Of course old comfort panels - no problem with graphic view

In TIA V17 everything is ok with graphic view in unified

It was some time since i was using V18, recently i was working in V17 mainly, maybe this Update 2 is the reason.

I've also checked different Windows screen settings, native resolution (4K) and droped down to FHD, with and without scaling

nVidia T1200 - driver version 31.0.15.2890 (29.03.2023)

Integrated Intel GPU - driver version 31.0.101.4255 (16.03.2023)

No virtual machine

I don't have to recreate this bug - it's there all the time

No solution yet beside constantly reopening editor :(

In mean time i've updated Nvidia drivers - no change

If i find time, I will check V18 update 1 in VM or on another computer to confirm it's because this Upd. 2

I have the same issue. If I can't be bothered closing/opening the screen designer then sometimes I'll just select the graphic from the Layout sidebar Layers tree view. Once you do that then you can set the focus of the graphic by clicking on the resize handles. You can't drag move it but you can drag resize and use the arrow keys to move around. Holding shift helps a lot with the arrow key moves.

That's the only workaround I know of.

And to clarify, that only works well if the graphic doesn't display with the mismatching focus rectangle as shown in the OP image. Once that starts to happen then I don't see any option but to re-open.
