V90 Error ID 16#800C with Error info 16#003D

PieterjanPerfecta Member Joined: 10/28/2019 Last visit: 5/31/2024 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Dear, Sometimes, out of nowhere, our V90 drive goes into error (Error ID 16#800C with Error info 16#003D). Even when the motor is at standstill this can happen. I checked the wiring of the STO and it's done like sugested in the manual. Anyone knows what I can try? Kind regards, PJ

PieterjanPerfecta Member Joined: 10/28/2019 Last visit: 5/31/2024 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Dear, see attachement: Two safety relays K1 and K2 are connected to a safety output card (6ES7 226-6DA32-0XB0). The 24V going to STO1 and STO2 is also connected to the 24V of the drive. Even when the motor is at standstill for a few seconds it can go into error. The motor also has a holding brake, maybe when the motor uses the holding brake something happens internally with the STO, resulting in an error? I would expect F01611 on the V90 as well in that case. Make sure that the high level duration of the input pulse is larger than 500ms. When using Safety relays, can you set them to manual start? Maybe the test pulses of the F-DQ cause the relays to trip for a short time. In that way you can see if the relay is really triggered. If this works properly another issue could be any test pulses of the safety relay itself. Any dark test pulses on the V90 STO input will trigger STO. Because you mentioned a holding brake, make sure that your 24V supply is able to handle the current demand of all components connected. To low supply voltages could also cause STO. Maybe you can use separate 24V supplies for testing.

(see image in attachments) I will check F01611 using V-Assistant software, in tia portal I don't see this error. I will recalculate current consumption of the holding brake. Thank you for your help! Technology Team Platinum Expert Joined: 10/11/2006 Last visit: 12/3/2024 Posts: 5954 Rating: (819)	Hello PJ, no, I meant to disable the test pulses on the F-DQ, but I don`t see a possibility for that in you screenshot. Please also make sure that the OMRON relay isn`t sending any test pulses on the output. After a “low” signal the following “true” signal must be at least 500ms long. Any fast-changing signals or test pulses will cause problems on V90 STO terminals. You can also test starting from the V90 STO terminals. First I would connect the bridges again or supply a E-Stop button directly through the V90. If this works, connect the button to the relays to provide a constant control signal for the relays. This way you should be able to identify any devices sending test pulses.
