V90 inputs help needed

Dear All,

My project's controller has 2 digital outputs, 1 for pulse train and 1 for direction. At V 90's manual I can see that the Di's for this configuration are 1&2 for 5v signals and 26&27 for 24v signals.

What I cannot see is the direction (positive-negative) input. Probably I miss something due to lack of terminology.

Please advise.

In PTI mode DI 3 & DI4 inputs are configured for direction i.e. p29303[0] CWL & p29304[0] CCWL.

Thanks a lot for answering.This means that 2 DI's have to be used, but the schematic shows that changing from 1 to 0 or 0 to 1 direction changes and logically this is assigned to 1 input only.

Is there any configuration in your knowledge like the one I describe (changing status at one input, direction is changed) ?

Yes I' ve seen some, still it is not clear to me if changing direction can be done with only one input (from the drive side). I hoped that someone had already done this and share the info.

For the time being I'm still reading everything I can find.

Where do those numbers (1&2 and 26&27) come from?

The document of the link I have sent you does show that the 'direction' input (pin 38) does select between the two directions (Fig3-2,  Fig4-3, paragraph 6.1 and sample program).

I have not seen the link you send me as I already hat the manual. I will have a look now.

Pin 26&27 is not for 24V usage.

Have a look at the application example.

The sample TIA Portal project and V90 configuration file will confirm more.

I will do this. You are right 36-37 are 24v instead 26-27 I wrote (an honest mistake).
