Hello, your motor has incremental encoder, which doesn't provide actual position, only direction and speed of rotation. So after power failure or switching off and on you need to start referencing procedure or set reference position. Related configuration you find in V-Assistant software or in operating instruction for V90 drive. With regrads Martin |

According to Siemens Industry Mall description for the servo motor's part #, it has a 20-bit absolute encoder.
