values of the output when CPU is in STOP mode

szandor Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Dear Sir or Madam, Please help me, because Ican not solve my problem alone. I have a CPU314C-2DP. When there is an error occurs, and I have not written error OB, the CPU goes to stop mode, and stop executing user program. What will be the value of the outputs in stop mode? The Step7 help says thatthe outputsremain their last value or change to their safe value. How can I configure the safe values of outputs? For example, thefrequency convertercontrolled motorrotate and the CPU goes to stop and in this case the motor will not stop, because start was the last command? And what if I use Profibus-DP and there is no error OB? What will be on the bus? The lastused control word? Thanks,Szandor

Under the options of the moduls you can define it. Have a look to the manual Programmable Logic Controllers S7-300 Module Data There you will find informations about possible values for different moduls. via PROFIBUS: The Error - OBs are called if they are programed. If the don't exist the CPU will go to STOP! Then are 2 different posibilitys for the data on the bus: "0" will be send or "no data" will be send on the bus. It is depending on the type of slave you are using. For the slave you can define the output value for CPU STOP in the hardwareconfiguration too. The DP-Slaves get the information, that the CPU is STOP from the DP-Master. So they know that the data they got are "special" data. Best regards Sabine

Is it possible to send a specific control and speed setpoint word to drive when S7 CPU goes to stop mode? beacsue we haqve an issue that when CPU goes to stop mode, drive won't and keep running. Thanks in Advance. Saeed Sometimes, that is realy a problem. Try to adjust a "bus timeout monitor" in the danfos, if possible. Next idea: Use an additional hardware - enable signal from PLC - output. If CPU wents to Stop - Output will be 0 - inverter is disabled.

Thanks in Advance. Saeed Dear saeed I think there no any way to work with Profibus, as the Communication halts when CPU goes to STOP. If you want to achieve your goal then you have to configure your Drive to Hardware level. If your Drive supports external triggering( like Siemens Drives) i.e inputs dedicated to the Drive and if you can assign some setpoints when that Input is high some internal setpoints get activated.
