I.m new to this program and i would like some advice/idea/solve on this topic please.

So i want to color a valve based on some conditions.

First, if the valve is open, the symbol should be green, but if the valve is open or close, then it should be orange and if everything is false, it should be grey. Obviously, i need 3 bits, but i have issues with the programming/implementing part.

Another condition is that if the valve is open then the bit should be 1 else if  the valve is close then the bit is 1 else 0.

Also you mixed up your requirements a bit I think, you have open state listed twice for two different indicators.

I re-read your post and I think you want to have three states :

Open

Opening or closing

Closed

See this and this documents for recommendation, I found it via web search.

As for you technical question, create a tag if type Int and assign that tage to the button object by going to its properties and Animation and select colors for each state 0,1,2

Since you have three states, it is no longer binary (true or false).

Also when you find out that you cannot change color via animation of a object use graphic list.

EDIT: This is only a example of graphic list. Nothing to do with any specific requirement.
