Variable (Real) displays #### on a kp300 PLC 1214C

AndresSiwarex Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello siemens community I am using two kp300 on a 1214c CPU DC/DC/DC to show a Real variable, at the begining (2 months ago) my display didn't show any problem but now i cant show the real variable instead of the number it shows me this ####, i verified all my ethernets conections,plc tags, hmi tags but they were ok. Like i said they were working good but now i cant show anything I attached the screenshot of my display amd im using TIA portal V13 Any help would be appreciated Thanks! Robster Gold Member Joined: 5/28/2008 Last visit: 10/23/2024 Posts: 1343 Rating: (141)	Have you changed anything at your software, infrastructure, etc.? Have you tried reboot? Is it on both Panels? Is the PLC still online?

William_B Posts: 5225 Rating: (1198)	You may have such issue if the HMI needs to display a number that is bigger than the space provided to display the number. Especially negative numbers may have such issues. I have had a similar issue on a weighting application where the load cell was damaged and the user set the calibration to bad values. At that time I did not have a limiting filter to prevent the system to send out of bounds numbers to the HMI. ..maybe this suggestion does not help - please return with a result. w

Is the PLC still onliine i didn't change anything on the software or infrastructure. i reboot my panels and still not working yes its on both panels yes the plc still online. my software and firmware specifications plc cpu 1214c DC DC DC firmware v4.0 kp300 panel / firmware 12.00.00 / bootloader v1.41 TIA portal v13

There either you insert a alarm view control with system alarm. Then you can see, when running up, if connection is establsihed or not. Or you enter another PLC Tag (e.g. a bit) which you can set/reset and monitor at PLC and in HMI. If this work, then the idea from William is may not so wrong. You should check the size of your IO-Field and the display format and form pattern in the settings. Maybe before doing all this, you sould download the PLC and the Panel again. Check also, if HMI connection is stll projected. If maybe did some changes in PLC-Part which has influences at the HMI, and forgot to download the HMI again, the HMI lost the variable.

Please do tell me to which version did you update to?.. are you sure you have V13?.. is it not V12? * TIA Portal V13 SP0 Update 6 .... latest version in SP0 branch * TIA Portal V13 SP1 Update 1 .... latest version in SP1 branch TIA Portal V13 SP0 Update 5 should be avoided - there were problems with that update. w

AndresSiwarex ...and then you downloaded again So nobody knows, if a only a new download without upgrading engineering, also helps. I guess there where some inconsistencies because of changing something. But congratulations that it works know again.
