Vb 2005 express

mg86 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I am new to the OPC technology and requires help or information on how to program a client interface from vb 2005 express. I understand that i have to download the opc sdk from the opc foundation. I downloaded but i cannot install the merge modules. Can someone just guide me along? I am using Simatic net as the OPC server. Thank anyone out there who can help I am kinda of lost over here

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, well... I think there we have a little problem. First of all, the Edition 11/2003 + SP 1 is not released with SP3 of XP or any higher OS. Secondly the Dev Studio with VB 2005 is only released with SIMATIC NET Edition 2007... So I fear, you may have to update to Edition 2007, than it will certainly work with VB.NET. Best regards J_Bell
