VB Script - Screens Method doesn't work

F. Thomé Posts: 34 Rating: (11)	Hi, I'm Using wincc 7.0 andI need access an object in another picture using VBScript. For example, I have a picture "Base.pdl" with a picture window "Alarms.PDL". In Picture window Alarms, i have 1 button that, when i click it, it should modify a label in Base.pdl, backcolor, or other property. I've tried this code that i found in WinCC Help: HMIRuntime.Screens("Base.PDL").ScreenItems("Label").text = "Test" Error: HMIRuntime.get_Screens:No Support for this interface But, it didn't work. Method Screens works only use integer values in parameter: HMIRuntime.Screens(5).ScreenItems("Label").text = "Test" But, I don't want to search this value, because is a dynamic value. I Need use by screen name, same as WinCC Help says... Help me!

dcount Posts: 3 Rating: (1)	Hi！WinCC VBS does not need .PDL,you can try: HMIRuntime.Screens("Base").ScreenItems("Label").text = "Test" if Base.PDL is not the Basescreen,you should use script like this: HMIRuntime.Screens("PictureWindow1:Base").ScreenItems("Label").text = "Test"

F. Thomé Posts: 34 Rating: (11)	Hi, I've tried it too. In version 6.0 and 6.2, I generally use it and It works very well. But in version 7.0, It didn't work. I could solve this problem using the Window Number(index) So, I used Screens(1), and it works. But, i had to make a script to get the screen number and next i used this. The problem is, every time that i use a string to define the screen ( Like Screens("test") or ("test.pdl") etc ), in any form, the Runtime script can't execute. I think that, there is some Setting in wincc that I have to set to make this method works, or in Windows. Or Else, It is a BUG of 7.0 version, because the same script works very well in 6.2 and 6.0 version.

Most changes in pictures in different levels do not need the name of the picture. So you can create modular pictures like PCS7 With screen(1) ist the basescreen meaned. The basescreen is not the startscreen, it the screen you selected by the picture tree manger p.E.ScreenItem("Label") have to be the objectname of your static text field, then it works. The object-properties of objectson the basescreen, you can change so: Set objPicWin = HMIRuntime.Screens(1).ScreenItems("PictureWindow2") objPicWin.PictureName = "Screen_2.pdl" The object-properties of objectson "Screen_2.pdl" (in "PictureWindow2" onbasescreenshown)you can change so: Set objSubPicWin = HMIRuntime.Screens("PictureWindow2").ScreenItems("PictureWindow1") objSubPicWin.PictureName = "Screen_1.pdl" The object-properties of objectson "Screen_1.pdl" (in "PictureWindow1" onScreen_2.pdl shown) you can change so: Set objSubPicWin = HMIRuntime.Screens("PictureWindow2").ScreenItems("PictureWindow1") objSubPicWin.PictureName = "Screen_1.pdl" I hope that helps you regards cumulus
