VBS errors

Marcus_Fma Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I am using WinCC V6 SP4 HF2. I have found that at the start of runtime WinCC was giving the following error : Unhandled Exception was raised. Look file "PDLRTSEH.LOG" for details Looking through the screen in view, I have found that the error is caused by scripts written in VBS. Even using a simple script, such as on a static text - text script: item.text = "hello" gives an error. have tried using longer cyclic triggers and tag triggers, but the problem still exists. Using a VBS action script that is not triggered does not cause the error (I have tried changing the width of a cicle on a button click, which changes the width ). The problem is not due to Internal/External/Non-Existent tags as the above example shows. Replacing the scripts with 'Dynamic Dialogs' or C works fine, but the project has been designed to use standard VBS and in some areas existing VBS functions (e.g. I have functions to call on page startup to populate list boxes etc). Therefore I want to get a VBS version working.

I've not seen this one before and regularly use VBS and C scripts in my projects. What happens if you create a new project ? Marcus_Fma Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	The errors are occuring on different systems, each of which is a new build. I have put together a simple page for testing, which is giving the error. I am finding that any script on an object property must be triggered on a tag change. The actual scripts work, but the problem is the main error killing runtime. All the tags exist. (The button script did not work because it was referencing an object "circle1" instead of "Circle1" but changing this still did not generate an error). Just had a thought - what operating system are you running on ? If it's XP SP2 or Windows 2003 then maybe you have an advanced security feature enabled that's preventing VBS scripts running. Remember that VBS in WinCC uses the Windows Scripting Host Engine. This means that any security patches / features applied to Windows can affect WinCC. I cannot be completely sure but I would hazard a guess that the error is being generated by a Windows configuration setting.
