vbs use global variable in picture action

Drew Regular Member Joined: 10/8/2005 Last visit: 10/30/2006 Posts: 31 Rating: (3)	hello everyone, I met a problem in vbs of wincc picture action.I define a globle variable in a project module and want to use it in wincc global action and picture action. But in global action, I can use the the variable defined in the project module, but in picture action, I can't. If the global variale is used directly, there comes the error "undefined tag ***"; If I call the procedure which is include in the project module first and then use the global variable, there comes the compile error msg "lack of sentence" in application window. I think the problem may be caused by the project module is not loaded by the picture. But how can I do to load the module? Many 3x~

In the wincc infor system-->.....->using global tag in vbs, "in order to use a global tag in an action in Graphics Designer, call in the procedure in which the tag is defined so that the associated module is loaded in runtime". I think it means I have to call a procedure which is defined together with the global variable in the project module. So I call a "init" sub in the picture action, but in runtime, there are two errors displayed in the GSC diagnostics when the picture is loaded, 1.MS vbs compile error, "lack of sentence" 2. error loading script, error 0x80020101. I use the same code in global action, no probem at all. thank you!

Drew Regular Member Joined: 10/8/2005 Last visit: 10/30/2006 Posts: 31 Rating: (3)	thank you Nemo, the problem have been resolved now, I just delete the first line in the project module "Option Explicit", and the picture action works. but I don't know why this happens, in my opinion, "Option Explicit" just force us to define every variable used in the vb script, and it is a good custom to use it. does anyone can tell me why it happens?

Dec Gold Expert Joined: 5/19/2006 Last visit: 12/3/2024 Posts: 549 Rating: (107)	Hi Drew, In your Action, statement "Option Explicit" is defined first before the function definition; In your Graphics embedded script (VBS) the first statement is the function definition (see note from CS Moderator below) and you can't define any more "Option Explicit" after that.
