VBScript password protection

Manju Posts: 39 Rating: (0)	Dear all, I had written some VB Scripts in WinCC 6.0 and had protected the same through a password as I had to give it to a customer. Now I need to do some modifications in script and the password which I used originally is not working (Actually I had noted down the password in my book and now the same thing is not working ). Is there some problem with WinCC ?? Is there any possibility that i can re-open the script again ???? Regards, Manju

Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	Hi, Passwords are there to protect the scripts. I don't think there is anything wrong with wincc. Please use the search functionality; there is a post not long ago which listed a person that could remove the password from the scripts for you. with regards, Ikkezelf

Manju Posts: 39 Rating: (0)	Hi, I already had checked out this entry in the forum. But it does not give me any info on how to reset the existing password. I understand this is confidential. I tried to look out in the .BMO file by opening it in notepad. But it's a Binary file and could not make out anything . Regards, Manju

What you could do is send Neto a PM, asking if he can do this for you. Then you could just PM him the file, and he'd reset the password for you. Edit: Ikkezelf... I see we posted at the same time...
