VBScript Problem referring to a PLC UDT !

Hi All,

I have a problem again with the VB Script while referring to a PLC UDT Variable. A reference to the PLC Variable already existed in the project and I just added one more variable to this PLC UDT variable  and from then on, I get this error with the vb script that it cannot find this new variable. In the warnings, there is an unwanted 0 in the variable and I dont know how to remove that. Anyone had this problem and know how to remove this?

Just a suggestion(off -topic).

Try to copy the code text from your docx file and paste it in the comment window.

After that you can select that pasted text and click on the 'Mark as code" button from the comment editor.

A lot of us here won't open docx or doc files. I personally have a drive sitting on my shelf with my personal files locky-ed (if you know what I mean).

ActiveRecipe.robotParameters.Pattern.Layer1_Cycles[0].usiPutTyp = 1 - Assigning value like this works. But I want to keep it variable using the indirect addressing as you see in the code.

"Unwanted 0 in the variable" - You will find it in the error message - If you look carefully there is a 0 present just before usiPutTyp - I dont know how this 0 came there. That I referred as the unwanted 0 in the variable.

The unwanted 0 is in a different column and refers to the  alarm acknowledgement group.

So no error at compile but in runtime. How about checking this(I know you want to use it indirectly - just to test):

HmiRuntime.SmartTags("ActiveRecipe.robotParameters.Pattern.Layer1_Cycles[0].usiPutTyp") = 3

Have you tried to delete the udt tag from the HMI taglist, compile and insert the udt back again? (make a backup copy before doing it).

Actually I deleted the udt tag before and inserted it back and the problem was still there. I didnt compile that time.

Now when I deleted the udt tag and tried to compile it, it was giving error since the udt tag was also used as recipe tags. What I did was, removed all the recipe tags and inserted the recipe tags again and compiled it and uploaded the project and now it works ......
