VBscript tag array overflow

Hmi tag is also linked with plc. When i have array larger than 100 i get overflow error. Error happens at different "i" values (see example below). When i add a delay in for loop everything works fine. Do someone know why. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HMI tags: x Array[0..200] of Real 100ms (acquisition cycle) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VBscript (I get "error overflow: 'i' in scritpt in line 5". The value of i when error happens is every time different it variates from 129 to 136.) Dim x(200) For i = 1 To 200 SmartTags("x")(i) = x(i) Next --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VBscript (It works but to slow for me) Dim x(200),capturedTime,dblDelay For i = 1 To 200 SmartTags("x")(i) = x(i) capturedTime = Timer dblDelay = 0.01 Do While Timer < capturedTime + dblDelay Loop Next --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have panel PC with wincc runtime advanced V17

It could really be that as the HMI updates the tags with 100ms, it could be that the script is reading it before updating the value. try to put only this array in the acquisition mode, Cyclic continuous. Dim x(200), i For i = 1 To 200 SmartTags("x")(i) = x(i) ShowSystemAlarm(i) Next ############################################################## Dim i2, x2(200),capturedTime,dblDelay For i2 = 1 To 200 SmartTags("x")(i2) = x2(i2) ShowSystemAlarm(i2) capturedTime = Timer dblDelay = 0.01 Do While Timer < capturedTime + dblDelay Loop Next ShowSystemAlarm("FIM") good luck Attachment Atit.jpg (194 Downloads)

Check out: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/57132412 "How do you efficiently copy process tag arrays backwards and forwards between a controller and a local script?" -> the direction from SmarTags to an internal array you have to work with a loop but the other way from internal Array to SmartTags array you can do in one step (see FAQ) I hope this helps Bye Murof
