In my parameter I get the MotorNumber so I can send the correct objectState to the correct motor.

I foundthis discussionabout the tag-name-assembly in a script in the German forum.

mm76 found that tags with assembled names in scripts work when the tags are used with I/O fields. Finally he created a dummy script (which is not called in the application) where the tags (with the complete names) are assigned with 0. Then also the assembling in the really used script would work.

I dont quite follow what is going on. Do you need to create a seperate script with all values set to zero, so:

SmartTags("MOTOR_VISUALIZE_OBJECT_MOTOREN{0}_Condition") = 0
SmartTags("MOTOR_VISUALIZE_OBJECT_MOTOREN{1}_Condition") = 0
SmartTags("MOTOR_VISUALIZE_OBJECT_MOTOREN{2}_Condition") = 0

And don't even call this function?

yes, this is how I understood it (but I didn't verify it).

I guess this uncalled script is just used to "introduce" the tags to the application  Another option would be using them with IO fields.

I checked it and it wasn't necessary. This following code worked: 

SmartTags("MOTOR_VISUALIZE_OBJECT_MOTOREN{" & CStr(tmpMotorNumber) & "}_VSTATUS") = objectState

However the HMI tags setting to call the VB script had to be Acquistion mode: Cyclic continuous and a cycle time of 500 ms. That was the solution. Thanks for your help anyways.
