Version tags: product dependent validity of entries in Service & Support Portal

Entries (FAQs and Applications) in the Service & Support Portal was checked against their validity for products and have been tagged accordingly.New entries are created with this version tags. Is a entry relating to a specific hardware, or software version it is tagged with the part number (MLFB) of this product.So it is possible to make a conclusion about the validity, even if the text doesn’t relates to a specific version.Existing entries wasn’t checked for downward compatibility (only against the version which was up to date to the entries creation date).The part numbers are also influencing the search results. To see the part numbers press the link “Display part number” below the title of the entry (see attachment). Example:Following entry informs about the upgrading of PCS 7 software. Hence it contains the part numbers of the covered PCS 7 versions. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/39980937 |
