Can anybody help me on the topic "VFD Drives on Profinet with H CPU redundant"? Normally we use Y-Link in case of Profibus but how can I connect the same thing in case of Profinet?

We have all VFDs having Profinet ports.

Manually add connections for both CPUs in NETPRO.

Call comm. blocks for both CPU with diffrent conn. ID.

Write logic in PLC that if CPU0 fails, CPU1 comm. block will be active. Otherwise CPU0 comm. block is active.

U can use SFC51 for CPU RUN/STOP status info.

Thanks for your reply, in my case customer, needs redundancy from hardware only.

 Is that the only option !? Can we do in Hardware redundancy ?

in TIA Portal , All Profinet VFDs doesn't accept multi-assignment like other profinet  I/O

Hello,

Same as Y-link in Profibus, we have Y-switch for Profinet. You have to use it for communicaiton of devices not supporting system redundancy, with H-systems.

some sinamics VFDs support system redundancy. see this post.
