VIBX application for overhead crane

Dear All,

I'm now using a s120 drive and vibx technology extension to eliminate the swing of the load. Now in commissioning phase. I just want to give a speed ref and let the drive run under speed mode, How should I set the parameters of the Epos block and position controller?

Hi,

during commissioning and being online with your computer you could use the control panel (STARTER or Startdrive) to run the drive in speed controlled way -> VIBX is not active then!

Or you use the EPOS and use its jog functionality. So give a certain jog velocity (which is the same as if you wanted to run the drive in a certain speed) and select jog 1 command for example. The drive will move with the specified velocity as long as you select jog 1. 

Controlling the EPOS in general by the PLC is quite simple with the SINA_POS FB. Just call it in your program and control the inputs via watchtable for example if your PLC program is not finished yet.

Thanks a lot! Could I do simple EPOS with no PLC? I just want the system run in the speed mode and eliminate the swing, but VIBX need the EPOS module.

And could you please give me some advice on how to parameterizing the EPOS blocks? I'm not so familiar with position control. I'll very appreciate that you can help me.
