Hello sidou; I am presenting an answer based on a MP 270 panel, and Protool v. 6.0 i hope this is what you need. There is a technique for special exchanges between a PLC and a Windows-based panel such as the MP 270 called "user data areas", they allow error messages, date-and-time info, active page number changes, and others. One of these areas is named Coordination and contains a Life Bit. See the manual: Communications for Windows-based systems, part 1
Once you have studied chapter 7 of the manual, and created the Coordination area in the PLC as described, you can use the state of the Life Bit to trigger your Loss of communication page. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello, I suggest you to use SFC1 function instead of interupt OBs. In this way accuracy will be higheast. How can you read out the date and time with SFC1 (READ_CLK) and input them with SFC0 (SET_CLK)? just put there in ENO input of this block your DB1.DBX1237.1 in positive edge. Memorize then output of data and time in DB1... Best regards, Hristo Mihalev |
