It's the first time i try to configure this. I have a scalance S612 connected with a PLC (and an HMI on the network), and a scalance s612 connected on my pc and the office network. I need to connect from my pc on the office connected with the scalance s612, to the place where the other scalance s612 connected to the PLC and HMI is, without knowing the IP of this network, so i think the VPN should be the solution... is there a simple and clear lineguide on how to configure the two scalance? The configuration of the PLC (S7-1500) and the HMI (comfort panel) has been made with tia portal. I need only to configure the two scalance with the "security configuration tool" or i have to add the scalance also in the device configuration on tia portal? Thank you EDIT: I found this: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/24968210?lc=en-WW Can this be the solution to my question? |

I followed the guide, but i'm not sure about some points... I assigned to the PC IP:192.168.3.2 Gateway: 192.168.3.1 To the Scalance connected with PC and Internet Ext. IP: 192.168.200.211 Int. IP: 192.168.3.1 Standard Router-> ? (must be the IP of my modem in the network? or the server?) Under VPN connection the WAN IP Address ->? (must be the WAN IP of my network? or the one in the example?) The other Scalance connected to the PLC Ext. IP: 192.168.2.2 Int. IP: 140.168.0.2 I can't find a good explanation to understand the meanings of all these fields i must fill in... hope someone can help! :) EDIT: Wainting for an answer i add one more question. I somehow connected the two scalances in the same network (for test, then i will connect one scalance in another network), i can see both of them but i don't see the PLC attached to the second scalance... how can i reach and interact with it? EDIT2: I'm actually connected to the PLC... the next step it's trying to let them communicate while in different networks... still waiting for clarification about the Standard Router! :( The problem is, if it is the IP of the router, i need to find how to not knowing the router IP on the customer side...
