VPN connection to Profinet subnetwork

karolman Regular Member Joined: 3/14/2011 Last visit: 9/23/2024 Posts: 17 Rating: (1)	Hello, I have an existing profinet network with IM151-8 PN/DP CPU and 3x IM 151-3 PN devices, which are conected to the CPU trough non siemens wifi access points (AP), because they are on the moving cranes. There are completely 8 devices in the IP range 192.168.0.1-192.168.0.30. I dont have any of these APs in the network configuration, it is working properly. I have to create VPN connection to this network. At first I have to connect my subnetwork to the plant local network, by eth cable to their switch. They provided to me only one static IP Here is a static IP addres for your device which will be accessible through VPN : IP : 10.100.2.14 Mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway : 100.100.2.1 DNS : 217.118.96.203 If you use more device then use DHCP for this devices. Please let me know the easiest way to create this, because I am afraid that I am not able to reconfigure my whole network to their IP range. How can I use this Static IP without affecting the other devices? Is it possible to have this IP address on the CPU, and leave the current IPs on the other devices? Thanks for advices

The scalance S612 would be used in routing mode, and the second interface of the Scalance S612 would be placed in the range 192.168.0.x., for instance 192.168.0.30 The CPU must refer to the address 192.168.0.30 as default gateway.
