w10 shared folder accessible

juaum Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hello guys. I've an application with 2 TP1500 and 1 Runtime PC. The old pc that runs the runtime was running with W7 and I've a new one with windows 10. The problem that i have is that i can't access the shared folder with the TP1500. The shared folder in the new pc is shared public and accessible by the other pc's in the network but is not accessible by the TP1500. Do you Know why? BR, Juaum

juaum Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hello. Yes. The TP can ping the PC. But when I try to reach the PC in "mY computer" doesn't return me anything, not even an error. With my developer PC it works fine and no password is required. BR, Juaum

Because when i type the address in the TP1500 it doesn't give me any error. The problem is that the TP doens't open the folder.

Posts: 1283 Rating: (103)	Can you share some more screenshots like your IP address of your PC and Panel, IP configuration in the HMI panel and also show us how you are able to access the Win7 PC shared folder and how you are accessing the Win 10 PC shared folder from the Comfort panel. Just to understand a bit more about your configuration. Not sure whether it is the reason, but also try to update the "hosts" file with all the connected network device name and IP. I only tried to get the Windows Explorer on the Panel to access the shared folder on the Windows 10 and it works. What I did is make a directory on Windows 10 called "panel" and share it. I gave the user "panel" Full Rights. On the panel I opened Control panel and in "Network ID" I enter "panel" and the password for this user. You probably need a password. You cannot have an empty password. There is security in Windows that does not allow empty passwords over network. Then I can open Windows Explorer and enter then path \\V15ES01\panel and it gets access immediately.

On the PC was shared folder and there was no problem to access the folder from Comfort panel. It seems this is not possible with the new builds of Windows 10. I tried it with Windows 10 Ent (version 1803, buld 17134.112). I cannot reach the shared folder from comfort panel now. No error is shown on panel. ================================================== So, I successfully got access to shared folder from panel to windows 10. You need to add the "SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing support" windows feature. Attachment smb.png (322 Downloads)
