Good estimates, I ask you about your project, I want to change the 1200 device for one that I have, only the HW version is higher than the one I have (4.0 to 4.4 available for the change and I have 3.1) How can I solve? Or is there no problem using a larger version?

My opinion: You do not have Firmware 3.1. You might have Firmware 3.0.1, which is read portal as FW 3.0 when selecting a PLC. If you add the FW 3.0 PLC with the exact same part # as you physically have to the project with the FW 4.x S7-1200 PLC, you can manually drag-and-drop (copy) tags, UDTs, blocks, and then manually configure the hardware to match what you really have. Once the FW 3.0 PLC project is configured, compile that PLC's hardware configuration - fix any problems. Then, compile the software and fix all the problems that come up. After that, download the FW 3.0 PLC project to the physical PLC.

I found that part, it would be to add a new PLC device and do the same configuration and programming again right? Best regards. Manuel. |

Well, this is what I sent to the email. I have a recurring issue in the Siemens forum, but I haven't been able to find any solution, so I was told to submit my project to you. The problem is that when importing the WP321 library into TIA Portal 16, it displays an error message stating that I cannot compile it because it is password-protected. Thank you in advance for your assistance, and I look forward to your response. Best regards,
