I'm confuse in distribution of communication or the proper way of communicating a 1 master and 4  slaves. I have CB 1241 RS 485 communication board and 4 power meters. I am using a daisy chain protocol. My question is it's compulsory to assign the power meter in different address or maybe it's fine to assign them in same address. I already communicate the 1 power meter in my communication I used master blocks as distribution of data and it's work well. And now I'm confuse how to start my program with more slaves because of assigning the addresses.

I hope you can help me with this guys.

Hello,

in simple way you need set unique address value to each Slave. In your program Master block you can then change only Slave Address, make Exchange of data and change address to another one. With this system you can collect data from all Slaves.

Thank You for the  information, The 3 power meter are now connected but there's another problem occurred the data from power meter that I gathered into different data blocks are not changing but when I change them into different scan time like for example the power meter 1 is assign into 1hz scan time, the second is 5 hz, and last one is 10 hz. Data are moving and changing but it takes 15-20 seconds to change. There's also an error in the master blocks stated that wrong slave response (8387). 

Communication Address

Baud Rate ( 19200 ) - I assign the 3 power meters in same baud rate. 

Parity ( Even ) - the 3 power meters are also has same parity address.

Address -  PM1  - 1

                 PM2  - 2

                 PM3  - 3

That is the following address of slave which is the power meter I set it into different address as         what you've advice in your last message.
