I am using WCCURT V18Upd 3, 

authentication is made through UMC, which itslef is linked to the AD of the company.

I need to let some groups of operators access certain areas/functions, and block unthorized users.

I tried adding custom roles to groups in the UMC webUI, but they do not reach the TIAPortal project :

The groups get correctly in the TIA Portal, but the roles do not.

Then I tried to create custom roles in the TIAPortal, and attach them to groups, but those roles do not get to the RT. when I use the function GetRolesFromUser() I only get "HMI Administrator, HMI Operator, HMI Monitor, HMI Monitor Client"

Since I cannot ( I think ) get the group the user is part of, I am failing to understand how to implement a proper authorization method for the various users/functions

Would you have an idea of how to get there ?

I had done all the right steps, 

The crucial info that was missing to me :

For the custom roles to reach the runtime, it is necessary to affect at least one runtime right to the role !

I hope this thread will help the next people in difficulty !
