Web Server: Varable Status Page: Boolean Entry format????

Slack Posts: 30 Rating: (0)	I have tried multiple display radix and multiple entry syntax 1 / 0 true / false TRUE / FALSE T / F On / Off 2#1 / 2#0 But the web server refuses to set the value of my boolean. Floating point real data works just fine. CPU 1212C V2.2 firmware. Boolean address = %M19.1, and it is not written to by the application - only read access.

Hello Slack, Did you checkwriting any other BOOL Data Type? Try writing a unused marker memory bit. Also see to the limitations of the variable status of the S7-1200 webserver

Slack Posts: 30 Rating: (0)	The 'limitations' in the system manual do not mention anything pertinent to boolean variables. What is more the example pages shown have a number of boolean entrys listed. My original post detailed that the bit in question is address %M19.1, so it is a marker bit. Although not unused. It is referenced at least once by normally open contact in a single network.

It is referenced at least once by normally open contact in a single network. Ok, I'm using FW 2.2, no custom user web page, V11 Basic SP2 Update 2. Just enabled web server, logged in, and tried settings some random bits in a test program on my test plc. I tried several bits at random and they 'appear' unchanged. I then remembered I had not used MD500 bits, so I set MD500 to 2.9 (floating point). It accepted the 2.9. Ahh, I _can_ change stuff, so then I said, I can access M500.0 directly. I set M500.0 to 1 (2#1, 1 both worked), and my MD500 monitor value changed to 11.6. I then experiemented with various methods of toggling M500.0. 2#0, 2#1, 1, 0, true, false, 16#0000, 16#0001 all worked T and F did not work. So, to investigate further, I went online with the plc to see what values I could toggle like a pushbutton (meaning there is not coil or other "write" in the user logic that might affect the bit). I created a couple of new tags and a simple rung with a NO and a coil. "My Test Bit" and "My Test Coil". Downloaded and tested in web page. I was able to toggle the coil by toggling the test bit both by name and by M bit address directly.
